S.S Jacob Luckenbach – California Ship Wreck

 The S. S Jacob Luckenbach is a shipwreck lying about 17 miles west of the Golden Gate Bridge, in 185 feet of water along the California Coast. In 2002 Kip Evans Photography was hired by the United States Coast Guard to document the vessel to determine the best approach for removing thousands of gallons of oil from the ships fuel bunkers. Working with DOER of Oakland California, we made several dives on the wreck using the Aquarius submersible.
